What we hold about you, why, and for how long. Written to match what the software actually does — every retention period below is enforced by a job that runs nightly, not by a promise.
Which law applies
Curaçao and Aruba each have their own privacy legislation, and Bonaire falls under Dutch BES legislation. Applicants may also live in the EU. Rather than guess which applies to you, we apply GDPR-grade practice throughout, because it is the strictest of them.
If you only browse
Nothing identifying is stored. No accounts, no advertising trackers, and no cookies for analytics. Searches and filters are held in the address bar, not on our servers.
When you click through to an employer
We record which job was clicked and when, so we can tell an employer their listing is working. Alongside it we keep a one-way hash of your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the page you came from. The hash cannot be reversed into an address; it exists to spot abuse, not to identify you.
Deleted after 90 days.
If you apply through us
Only on jobs where the employer has no application page of their own. On every other listing we send you to the employer's own site and hold nothing.
We ask for your name, email address, optionally a phone number, and a CV or a short message. That is all.
We deliberately do not ask for your date of birth, nationality, photo, or any ID number. We do not need them, and in hiring they are exactly the fields that create discrimination risk.
You tick a box before submitting, and the moment you did is recorded. Nothing is sent anywhere until you confirm your email address with a code — before that, your application sits inert and is deleted automatically if you never confirm.
Once confirmed, we email the employer your details and a link to your files that expires after 15 minutes. The files themselves are never attached, and every time such a link is issued it is written to our access log.
Your application and your files are deleted after 6 months — both the database record and the stored file, together. Unconfirmed applications are deleted within days.
If you post a job
We keep your name, email address and the posting itself, so we can review it and send you a link to edit it. The link is the only credential, so treat it as one.
How it is protected
- Files are held in private storage, reachable only through a link that expires.
- Everything travels over HTTPS, and storage is encrypted at rest.
- IP addresses are hashed before they are written down, never stored raw.
Your rights
Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email the address below and a person will answer. We do not require an account or a form.
